Our Bible Highlighted At General Conference

On October 3, 2009, during the United Pentecostal Church's General Conference in St. Louis, MO, our handwritten Bible was highlighted during the Youth Division Service by Shay Mann, General Youth President. It received a standing ovation and several churches contacted me to find out more about it. Hopefully many more will follow our lead and write their own Bible. It's all for the Glory of Jesus Christ!

It Is Finished!!!

5 months and 1 day after the challenge was issued, the entire hand-written King James Version of the Bible was placed on the altar during Youth Service tonight, September 30, 2009!

58 people joined together to accomplish this great challenge! So far, over $1,500 has been raised through sponsorship.

Jim Bodenhammer of KTLO interviewed me today and plans to run a story this coming Sunday.

I am extremely proud of all of those who had a hand in making this dream a reality!

We will be taking the Bible to General Conference this weekend in St. Louis, MO, for the General Youth Division Service this Saturday at noon.

We wrote it! We are learning it! We are living it!

May the blessings of the Lord be upon all those who WROTE THE BIBLE!

98% complete!

With only 2 days left until our deadline, we are 98% complete! I fully expect everything to be completed by Youth Service this Wednesday night.

I can't wait to see all 5 binders placed on the altars and then listen to the chains break as Jesus promised!

"Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against You!"

562 and counting!

Getting ready for the Write-In Friday night....Today I bought 3,000 pages of college rule notebook paper and 30 folders! Writing 1,000 pages of the King James Version will probably take about 2,500 sheets of notebook paper. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Currently we have 29 people committed to writing 562 pages....only 438 pages to choose from! I'm suprised that we still have a few pages of Psalms left...let me know if you want them.

Students on a mission!

Several students have already reported several hundred dollars in sponsorships...and they haven't even started writing yet! They will choose the verses they plan to write tomorrow during Sunday School. They can't wait to get started!

If you want to invest in something that will last a lifetime...sponsor a youth to write the Bible! Jesus promised that "His Word would not return void", meaning that when His Word goes forth...or in this case is written...it is like a seed that is planted that will produce a lot of Godly fruit (love, joy, peace, etc...). You can be a part of planting seeds of love, peace and joy into the lives of young people today! Email us at writethebible@yahoo.com, or call me for more info.

Write The Bible Kickoff

April 29, 2009 - Youth Service at Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church.

Tonight I introduced the idea of how to raise a lot of money for the cause of Christ, while at the same time doing something that will impact the lives of participants forever...writing the entire King James Version of the Bible.

Our church (not just the youth group) agreed tonight to join forces and accomplish something that many believe to be a crazy idea...writing the entire Bible. I believe it's just crazy enough to work!

The youth will solicit sponsors at a minimum donation of $5 per handwritten page. Our reference Bible has exactly 1,000 pages from Genesis to Revelations....resulting in a minimum of $5,000 being raised.

The youth group will decide how the money will be allocated. Currently, their choices include funding a trip to the National Youth Convention in Nashville, TN in August, 2009, as well as, purchasing Bibles for missionaries in Uganda to deliver, or donating a portion of the funds to Sheaves For Christ which buys 4x4 vehicles for missionaries, offers land grants to home missionaries, and sponsors orphans at Tupelo Children's Mansion. Other options include sponsoring clients at Windsong Ranch (a Christian based drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Sheridan, AR), as well as donating funds to various homeless shelters in the Mountain Home area. As time goes on, I'm sure they will come up with many more viable options to invest in.

To learn more, or to sponsor a youth in this project, email me at writethebible@yahoo.com, or call me at 870-404-8024.

The Bible...Write it. Learn it. Live it.
