Just got through counting all of the pages that have been turned in...WE ARE 51% COMPLETE after only 2 months!!! We are WAY ahead of schedule!!!
I'm a so pumped up! We should easily finish before school starts again!

The Write The Bible Challenge
The youth group of the Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church in Mountain Home, AR, have accepted the challenge from youth director, Rick Lovall, to hand write the Bible. The students will be collecting sponsorships to write a selected number of pages of the King James Version. They are requesting a minimum donation of $5 per page. The Bible we are using as our "guide" has exactly 1,000 pages. Our plan is to raise at least $5,000. The funds will be used to sponsor several projects the students will choose from. Their current "investment" options are: Sheaves For Christ, the fundraising arm of the United Pentecostal Church that purchases 4x4 vehicles for missionaries, sponsors orphans at Tupelo Children's Mansion, and many other "love in action" activities. Other "investment" options include building a church in Uganda, purchasing Bible for Uganda in their native language, assisting with projects here in Mountain Home (Gamma House - Homeless Shelter for women and children), as well as sponsoring the youth themselves on their trip to Nashville, TN, for National Youth Congress in August of 2009.
Many senior saints have agreed to help the youth in this effort. The Write The Bible Challenge is uniting our church and promoting an "everyone working together" atmosphere.
